I have gained confidente in the meditation practice by trying different styles of meditation whilst having the opportunity to lead small sessions to my family. I feel that I have more knowledge on when and how to conduct a session that can respond to the comment I often hear of I cant meditate it's too hard. It has also allowed me to do more reflection of how I would do things, or where are the beliefs I have told my self, or things I am grateful for, and this reflective practice has helped me being more aware of myself and my practice and being able to think deeply and more conscious on how to do things in a way that is still true to me.

Through my training so far, I feel I have gained a strong foundation both personally and professionally. One of the most valuable aspects has been the deepening of my own self awareness. Developing a consistent meditation and chair yoga practice has helped me better understand my thoughts, emotions, and physical body, which in turn allows me to relate more authentically to others.
I have also gained practical skills in guiding meditation and chair yoga sessions. I feel more confident in structuring a class, giving clear instructions, and adapting practices to suit different abilities and needs. Learning how to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment has been especially meaningful, as it aligns closely with the kind of teacher and counsellor I aspire to be.
Another important area of growth has been understanding the principles of holistic counselling. I have begun to appreciate the importance of listening without judgment, holding space for others, and recognising the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. This has shifted my perspective from wanting to “help” or “fix” people, to supporting them in their own process of self-discovery and healing.
The course has also encouraged me to reflect on my values and intentions. I feel clearer about why I am pursuing this path and the kind of impact I hope to have. It has reinforced my desire to offer accessible practices, particularly for those who may feel excluded from traditional fitness or wellness spaces. Overall, I feel more grounded, confident, and aligned with my goals. While I recognise there is still much to learn, I am beginning to trust in my ability to grow into these roles and to support others with compassion, presence, and authenticity.
